Submit an investment opportunity
Complete your investment opportunity submission in 3 steps and receive a tracking code. This article walks through every field in the wizard, explains sectors and investment types, and covers how to use your tracking code to follow progress.
Purpose: Guide public users (investors, enterprises, brokers, consultants) to submit opportunities, inquiries, and proposals to 1PVN for evaluation and facilitation.
Audience: Anyone submitting an investment opportunity to 1PVN. No account or login is required.
Prerequisites:
- A valid email address you can access
- Your organization name and a brief description of the opportunity
Overview
The submission form is a 3-step wizard you can complete in about 5 minutes. You do not need an account. At the end you receive a unique tracking code. Use that code on the Track Your Submission page anytime to see where things stand.
Steps in brief:
- Enter your organization and contact details.
- Describe your opportunity and classify it.
- Review your entries and submit.
A 1PVN staff member will review your submission within 1–3 business days.
Step-by-step: the 3-step wizard
Step 1: Organization and contact
-
Go to the Submit to 1PVN page (
/submit). No login is required. The page heading reads "Submit to 1PVN — Investment opportunities, inquiries, and proposals." A row of three numbered circles shows your progress; circle 1 is highlighted.
-
Organization Name (required, max 200 characters)
Enter the name of your company, fund, or organization. Example: Manila Investment Corp
-
Contact Person (required, max 200 characters)
Enter your full name.
-
Email (required)
Enter a valid email address. This is how staff will reach you and how your submission is linked to you.
Expected result: The field uses
type="email". Your browser will flag an obviously invalid format (missing@or domain). -
Phone (optional, max 30 characters)
Enter your phone number in any format.
-
Click Next.
The wizard checks that Organization Name, Contact Person, and Email are filled. If any are empty, the Next button stays disabled (grayed out with a not-allowed cursor). Once all three are filled, the button becomes active.
Step 2: Submission details
-
Submission Title (required, max 300 characters)
Write a brief headline for your opportunity. Example: Solar Farm Development in Negros Oriental
-
Description (required, max 5,000 characters)
Describe your opportunity in full. Include what you offer, the investment size if known, your timeline, target market, and anything a reviewer needs to understand the proposal. Example: We seek $5 M for a 50 MW solar farm in Negros Oriental. Target completion: 24 months. Seeking joint venture partners or debt financing.
Expected result: A multi-line textarea. No character counter is shown in the UI; the server will reject descriptions longer than 5,000 characters.
-
Sector (optional)
Select the industry category that best fits your opportunity. See Sectors and investment types below for the full list.
-
Investment Type (optional)
Select how you are seeking partnership or capital. See Sectors and investment types below.
-
Target Location (optional)
Use the cascading location picker to select a Philippine region, province, municipality, or barangay. You can stop at any level.
Expected result: Each dropdown filters the next level. Once selected, the location appears as a tag on the review screen.
-
Click Next to proceed to the review step.
The wizard checks that Submission Title and Description are filled. Sector, Investment Type, and Location are optional and never block progress.
Step 3: Review and submit
-
Check the two summary boxes:
- Organization box — your organization name, contact person, email, and phone (if entered).
- Submission box — title, description preview (first few lines), and any sector, investment type, or location badges you selected.
Screenshot: Two summary boxes side-by-side on a white card background. The Submission box shows colored badge tags for sector and investment type.
-
If anything looks wrong, click Back to return to the previous step and edit.
-
Click Submit (blue button, bottom right).
The button label changes to Submitting… and becomes disabled while the request is processing (2–5 seconds).
-
On success, the form is replaced by a confirmation card:
Screenshot: Green "Submission Received" heading. A light gray box contains the tracking code in large blue monospace text, e.g.,
1PVN-2607-A3F8KQ.Below the code: "Use this code to check the status of your submission at any time."
-
Copy and save your tracking code immediately. Once you leave or close the page, the code is not emailed to you automatically. Save it in a note, email draft, or document.
Sectors and investment types
Sector classifies the industry area. 1PVN uses this to route your submission to the right team.
| Sector | Examples |
|---|---|
| Agriculture | Crops, livestock, fisheries, agribusiness |
| Energy | Solar, wind, power generation, utilities |
| Infrastructure | Roads, ports, telecommunications, water |
| Manufacturing | Factories, processing, industrial parks |
| Tourism | Hotels, resorts, attractions, eco-tourism |
| ICT | Software, IT services, data centers, broadband |
| Health | Hospitals, clinics, pharma, medical devices |
| Education | Schools, training centers, EdTech |
| Finance | Banking, insurance, fintech, investment funds |
| Other | Anything not listed above |
Investment Type describes the structure of your deal.
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) | Capital investment, equity stake, or new business setup by a foreign entity |
| Joint Venture | Partnership between your organization and another to co-own and operate |
| Technical Assistance | Knowledge transfer, consulting, training, or expert services (not capital-focused) |
| Trade | Import/export, procurement, or commercial distribution |
| Other | Structure not covered above |
Target Location is optional. Selecting a Philippine region, province, or municipality helps 1PVN match your opportunity to relevant local government units, chambers, and partners in that area.
Attaching files
The public submission wizard does not include a file upload field. If you have supporting documents (feasibility studies, financial projections, maps, letters of intent), do one of the following after you submit:
- Mention the documents in your Description. For example: "Full feasibility study and financial model available upon request."
- Email your documents to 1PVN staff after submission. Include your tracking code, your name, and your organization name in the subject line so staff can link the files to your submission record.
Staff may also request additional documents from you by email once your submission is under review.
Your tracking code
What is a tracking code?
A tracking code is a unique identifier generated for every submission. It looks like this: 1PVN-2607-A3F8KQ (format: 1PVN-YYMM-XXXXXX — six letters and digits after the second hyphen).
- Every submission gets exactly one code.
- The code never changes.
- The Track Your Submission page uppercases whatever you enter, so you can type it in lowercase, uppercase, or mixed case.
How to look up your submission:
- Go to the Track Your Submission page (
/track). - Type your tracking code into the field.
- Click Track Submission.
- Your submission title, current status, submitter name, organization, and submission date appear below.
If the code is wrong or not found, you see: "Submission not found. Please check your tracking code and try again."
Status labels and what they mean:
| Status label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Submission received but not yet in the review queue. |
| Submitted | Submission is queued for staff review. |
| Under Review | A staff member is actively evaluating your opportunity. |
| Accepted | Your opportunity has been approved and is now in the 1PVN facilitation pipeline. |
| Returned | Staff has requested additional information or clarification. Check your email. |
| Withdrawn | The submission was withdrawn. |
Rate limit on lookups: You can look up the same tracking code up to 20 times per minute. If you exceed this, the page returns no result. Wait a minute and try again.

| Submission Title | Max 300 characters |
| Description | Max 5,000 characters |

Troubleshooting
The Next button is grayed out and I cannot proceed
Cause: A required field on the current step is empty.
Fix:
- On Step 1: fill in Organization Name, Contact Person, and Email. All three must have at least one character.
- On Step 2: fill in Submission Title and Description.
- Sector, Investment Type, and Location are optional. Leaving them empty does not block the Next button.
I see "Too many submissions. Please try again later."
Cause: You have submitted 5 times in the last hour from the same email address.
Fix: Wait one hour, then try again. Alternatively, ask a colleague from your organization to submit using a different email address — each email address has its own independent limit.
My email address shows a validation error
Cause: The email format is invalid (missing @ or domain).
Fix: Make sure the address looks like user@domain.com. Remove spaces, extra characters, or partial domains before trying again.
I see a generic error after clicking Submit
Cause: A network interruption or server error occurred during submission.
Fix:
- Check your internet connection.
- Wait a few seconds and try again — do not click Submit multiple times in quick succession as each click may consume your hourly rate limit.
- If the confirmation card appears, your submission went through successfully. Save the tracking code.
- If the error persists, note the exact error message and contact 1PVN support.
I lost my tracking code
Cause: You navigated away or closed the page before saving the code.
Fix: Email 1PVN support with:
- The email address you used to submit
- Your organization name
- Your submission title
- The approximate date you submitted
Staff can look up the code on your behalf.
The tracking page says "Submission not found"
Cause: The code entered does not match any submission, or a typo was made.
Fix:
- The tracking form automatically uppercases what you type, so case is not the issue.
- Double-check the code character by character. The format is
1PVN-YYMM-XXXXXX(six alphanumeric characters after the second hyphen). - If the code is definitely correct and still returns no result, contact 1PVN support with your email and submission title so staff can locate the record.
FAQ
Q: Do I need an account to submit? A: No. The submission form is public and open to anyone. No login or registration is required.
Q: Will I receive an email confirmation after I submit? A: The system displays your tracking code on screen immediately after submission. There is no automatic email sent to submitters at this time. Save the tracking code before you leave the page.
Q: How long will it take to review my submission?
A: Typically 1–3 business days. Check your submission status anytime using your tracking code at /track.
Q: Can I edit my submission after submitting? A: Not through the public form. If you need to update details, email 1PVN support and reference your tracking code. Staff can update your record.
Q: What if I accidentally submit the same opportunity twice? A: Each submission gets its own tracking code and is treated as a separate entry. Duplicate submissions take up staff review time. If you submitted by mistake, contact 1PVN support with your tracking code to request withdrawal.
Q: Can I submit on behalf of another organization? A: Yes. Enter the other organization's name and your own contact details, and explain your role (broker, agent, consultant) in the Description field.
Q: What file types can I attach? A: The submission wizard does not include a file upload field. Send supporting documents by email after submitting, and include your tracking code in the subject line.
Q: Is there a fee to submit? A: No. Submission is free. 1PVN is a program funded by its member and partner organizations.
Q: Can I submit multiple opportunities from the same organization? A: Yes. Each opportunity is a separate submission with its own tracking code. Remember the 5-submissions-per-hour limit per email address.
Q: My status shows "Returned." What do I do? A: Staff has requested more information. Check your email for a message from 1PVN with specific details. Reply to that email and reference your tracking code.
